Do you live locally and are looking for a job? If so, then you may want to head down to The Corbin Center on Thursday (June 26) for the Southern Kentucky Regional Job Fair.

It will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at The Corbin enter, which is located at 222 Corbin Center Drive on the hill below the Corbin Arena.

The event is open to the public. Job seekers can meet with employers and apply for open positions.

Perspective job seekers are encouraged to bring a resume and dress for success.

The job fair is being sponsored by the Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, The Corbin Center, the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program Inc., KCEOC Community Action Partnership, Bell-Whitley CAA Community Action Partnership, and the Cumberlands Workforce Development Area.

Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bruce Carpenter said that as of late Monday afternoon about 21 employers and 14 service providers had been lined up for the job fair.

Employers include Aisin, Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Treves CTA, KECH, Pepsi/Breaktime, The Mint Gaming Hall, Hometown Bank, KCEOC, Winds of Change, The Heritage Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, KOWA Kentucky, Village Caregiving, Jones Plastic, Corbin Health & Rehab Center, Senture, Drives & Conveyors, Grace Health, Pineville Community Health Center, The Job Shop, Staffmark and Department of Justice/Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Service providers include Education and Labor Cabinet, Laurel County Literacy Council, Kentucky Career Center, Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Education and Labor Cabinet Development Office, LCADD/Cumberlands Workforce Development Area, EKCEP, SOAR, Volunteers of America, PRIDE Industries, Kentucky Office of Employer & Apprenticeship Services, Somerset Community College and Goodwill Kentucky.
